It’s no secret that drug overdose deaths were at an all-time high during the COVID-19 pandemic, and new data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention proves it. Over 93,000 people died from reported drug overdoses in 2020 — a dramatic 29 percent increase in overdoses from 2019.
