State and federal leaders address growing addiction crisis in Kentucky

Volunteer Program Offers Support to Individuals Battling Addiction

Naloxone Vending Machine Available at one Southern Indiana Hospital
Overdose Lifeline in partnership with the Indiana government has teamed up to address overdoses. The 24 hour vending machine, located at Clark Memorial Hospital and Jeffersonville, can carry 300 free Naloxone kits. Read more here.
Jefferson County’s overdose deaths have decreased but case numbers are still larger than pre-pandemic numbers
Health care officials in the recovery space have noted that more residents are seeking help for addiction. While the number of cases is still alarming, the number of overdose deaths have decreased. 604 people died last year in Jefferson County from overdose deaths. Read more here.
